Raw banana fry / Valakkai varuval / Plantain Fritters

This Raw banana or Plantain is one of the dish that I loved when I was a kid . My mom cooks this for me and I used to finish it off as soon as it is out from the pan . This is very easy and could be made in 15 minutes . A very and Easy plantain fry recipe .

Ingredients:
  • Raw banana-1 no , sliced in to round pieces
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Curd- 2 tsp ( Cashew yogurt could be used for Vegan diet )
  • Corn flour - 1 tsp
  • oil - 3 tsp
  • salt -  to taste

Preparation:
Peel the skin of raw banana and cut it in to thin slices.
Add curd, chilli powder , coriander powder , salt , corn flour and marinate it and leave it for an hour.

Heat oil in kadai, or a dosa tawa / griddle , add the marinated raw banana and fry it till it turns golden brown.

Serve hot with rice and also as a appetizer.

 This recipe could be prepared in less than 15 minutes.
