TANDOORI GOBI | HOW TO MAKE TANDOORI CAULIFLOWER RECIPE

Tandoori Gobi is an Indian recipe made with cauliflower marinated with spiced masala and then baked in Tandoori Oven. This recipe is a Zero oil recipe and its very healthy . This Tandoori Gobi recipe is a similar recipe to my Tandoori Chicken Recipe . So now off to Today's recipe Tandoori Gobi Recipe .

Tandoori Gobi - Ingredients

Preparation Time :1 hour  | Cooking Time : 1 hour
Recipe Category: Starters  | Recipe Cuisine:  Indian
  • Cauliflower -1 number ,separated in to florets and blanched
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon ( Click here for the recipe )
  • Yogurt - 1 tablespoon ( Click here for the recipe )
  • Lemon juice- 1/4  teaspoon
  • Paprika powder - 1 teaspoon (It gives the natural red color)
  • Chilli powder or Curry Powder  - 2 teaspoon (  Click here for the recipe )
  • salt - As per taste

     

    Method:

    • Bring a water to boil in a pot . add some salt .  Add the cauliflower and let them stay for 2 minutes . Drain the water and set aside the florets .  This process is called blanching .
    • Take the Cauliflower Florets in a Mixing bowl . Add the ginger garlic paste , Yogurt , Lemon juice , Paprika powder , Curry powder or Red chilli powder and salt  .


    • Mix them well and set aside the marinade for at least an1 hour .


    • Line the Baking Tray with aluminum foil .Preheat the oven at 375 F . Drop the marinade cauliflower florets in the Baking Tray .


    • Bake them for 30 minutes . Flip to the other side and Bake them for another 30 minutes . Cook till the cauliflower becomes Golden brown in color .


    • Tandoori Gobi is ready .

    MUSHROOM TIKKA MASALA | MUSHROOM RECIPES

    Mushroom Tikka recipe is a delicious recipe that pairs well with Naan and  steamed rice  . Recently we started including Mushrooms in our diet and this recipe is one of my kids favorite recipe as well . So now off to today's post Mushroom Tikka Masala recipe .

    Mushroom Tikka Masala -Ingredients

    Preparation Time :1 hour | Cooking Time : 30 minutes
    Recipe Category:

    • Oil - 2 teaspoon
    • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
    • Onion - 2 number , pureed
    • Tomato - 2 number , pureed
    • Ginger Garlic paste -1 tablespoon , ( Click here for the recipe )
    • Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
    • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
    • Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
    • Yogurt - 1 teaspoon ( Click here for the recipe )
    • Fresh cream - 1 tablespoon ( Click here for the recipe )
    • Butter - 1  teaspoon
    • Bell Peppers - 1 number , chopped
    • Salt - to taste 

    To Marinate :

    • Mushroom - 1 packet , cleaned and chopped (  Click here for the recipe )
    • Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon ( Click here for the recipe )
    • Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
    • salt - to taste
    • yogurt - 1 teaspoon ( Click here for the recipe )

      Method :

      HOW TO CLEAN AND CUT MUSHROOMS




      • Take one tea spoon  oil in a wok . Add the marinated mushroom and fry till they become brown in color . Remove and set aside .


      • Add the bell peppers and fry till they become slightly roasted . Remove and set aside .




      • Take the remaining oil in a wok . Add the cumin seeds and allow them to sputter .

      • Add the onion paste and fry till they become golden in color .


      • Add the tomato puree , red chilli powder , coriander powder , garam masala powder , ginger garlic paste , little water , salt and mix . cook till the oil separates out from gravy . Add yogurt and mix .




      • Now add the bell peppers and mushroom and mix the contents well .


      • Mushroom Tikka masala is ready to serve .

      HASSELBACK POTATO RECIPE | HOW TO MAKE HASSELBACK POTATO | LOW FAT RECIPES

      Hasselback potato is a swedish dish . The hasselback potatoes are crisp outside and soft inside . The potatoes are seasoned with salt , pepper and few herbs and baked to perfection . So now off to today's post Hasselback potatoes recipe .

      Hasselback potato Recipe - Ingredients:

      Preparation Time : 15 minutes | Recipe Category: Snack
      Cooking Time : 40 minutes | Recipe Cuisine : Swedish
      • Potato - 3 to 4 numbers
      • Oil - 1 tablespoon
      • Salt - To taste
      • Rosemary - 1/2 teaspoon , Dried leaves
      • Crushed pepper corns - To taste , for seasoning

          Method :

          • Wash the potatoes . Pat them dry .


          • Place the potato on a wooden spatula and slice them in to tiny slices , with the slices connected at the bottom . 


          • Preheat the oven at 425 F . In a mixing bowl , add oil , salt and rosemary . Mix well . 


          • Brush the potatoes with the seasoning .


          • Line the baking pan with Aluminum foil . Arrange the seasoned potatoes .


          • Bake them for 40 minutes , till the potatoes become crisp outside . Add some crushed pepper corns to enhance the flavor . Hasselback potatoes are ready to serve .


          • Enjoy the hasselback potatoes . 
          Notes :
          • Instead of oil , Butter can be used . 
          • Grated Cheese could be added to enhance the flavor . 
          • Any of your favorite herbs can be added for seasoning .

          CELERY RICE RECIPE | HOW TO MAKE CELERY PULAO

          Celery is a low Calorie food . The stalks of celery are crunchy and can be served as a snack . This recipe Celery rice is a recipe made with celery , and few aromatic spices , and rice . This Celery has amazing health benefits and it is always advisable to include in our diet . So now off to today's post Celery Rice .

          Celery Rice Recipe - Ingredients :

          Preparation Time : 15 minutes | Recipe Category: Main Course
          Cooking Time : 15 minutes | Recipe Cuisine : Indian 
          • Celery - 1 cup , chopped
          • Oil - 1 tablespoon
          • Cinnamon stick - 1 stick
          • Cloves - 3 numbers
          • Basmathi Rice - 2 cups
          • Water - 3 cups
          • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
          • Salt - To taste 
          To Grind :
          • Ginger - 1' piece , chopped
          • Garlic - 3 pods
          • Mint leaves - 3 to 4 leaves
          • Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
          • Celery leaves - Few leaves , chopped
          • Green Chilli - 2 numbers

            Method :

            • Chop the Celery stalks , Remove the leaf from the stalk and set aside . I added few mint leaves along with the chopped celery stalks .


            • Grind together Celery leaves , Mint leaves , ginger , garlic , fennel seeds and green chills in a mixer . Set aside .


            • Heat Oil in a  heavy bottom shallow pan . Fry the cinnamon stick and cloves . Now add the chopped Celery stalks and few mint leaves and fry for 2 minutes . 


            • Add the ground contents from mixer to the pan . Fry till the raw smell goes away .


            • Add the Turmeric powder and salt .


            • Add 3 cups of water and bring the contents to a boil .


            • Add rice .


            • Cover with the lid and pressure cook the contents for one hisses . Open the lid and Mix them well .


            • Done ! Yummy Celery Rice Or Celery pulao is ready .


            • Celery  Rice or Celery Pulao is ready to serve . Enjoy the Celery rice or Celery pulao with Raitha .
             Notes:
            • Green Chilli could be added directly with the celery stalks instead of grinding .
            • Few  drops of lime juice could be added to the rice to give a tangy taste .

            STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS RECIPE | LOW FAT RECIPES

            Today's recipe is a easy recipe , "Stuffed Cabbage rolls "  made with cabbage and some mashed potato Masala stuffing . This is a Low fat recipe and the stuffed cabbage rolls can be best served as the appetizer .This is one of the best way to feed kids with cabbage as many kids dislike cabbage because of the smell . My kids absolutely loved this recipe . So now off to Today's post Stuffed Cabbage rolls Recipe .

            STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS RECIPE
            STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS RECIPE | LOW FAT RECIPES


            Ingredients:

             For the stuffing :
            • Potato - 2 numbers , Boiled,   skin removed and Mashed
            • Oil - 1 tea spoon
            • Onion - 1 number , chopped
            • Tomato -  1 number , chopped
            • Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon
            • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
            • Salt - To taste
            For the rolls :
            • Cabbage 
            For Frying : 
            • Oil - 1 tea spoon



            Method : 

            • Heat oil in a wok . Add the chopped onion and tomato and cook till it become soft .


            • Add the Red chilli powder , Turmeric powder ,salt  and mix well .


            • Add the mashed potato and mix the contents well  to form the nice potato Masala . Allow the contents to cool down . Set aside .


            • The stuffing is ready . 

            • Now lets get started with the cabbage . 

            • Take water in a heavy bottom pan . Add salt and bring the contents to a boil .


            • Dip the cabbage in the boiling water for 2 minutes till the cabbage is 50 % cooked .


            • Allow the cabbage to cool down . Remove the leaves from the cabbage . Take one leaf .


            • Spoon a potato Masala on the cabbage leaf in the middle of the leaf . 


            • Roll them and pin the ends of the leaf with a tooth prick .


            •  Heat one tea spoon of oil in a wok .  Now lets get the cabbage leaf cooked in the wok . Add the Stuffed cabbage rolls on a wok and cook on a medium flame till cabbage leaf  it becomes golden brown on one side .
             .
            • Flip it to the other side and cook  the stuffed Cabbage rolls  on both sides . 


            • Stuffed Cabbage rolls are ready to be served . Enjoy these cabbage rolls with ketchup .

            Notes :

            • The Stuffed Cabbage rolls could also be baked in oven at 350 F for 30 minutes and be served instead of frying .
