Green Chilli Chicken - Step by Step Pictorial

We cook chicken at least once a week . My husband is a great fan of  chicken . Check out my Chicken recipes by pressing here . Coming to Today's recipe , Its a Green chilli Chicken recipe . Its a very simple recipe and made in 30 minutes . Off to the recipe now .

Spicy green chilli chicken recipe


Ingredients:

  • Chicken Breast - Boneless & Skinned out , 500 Gm ( Cleaned and Chopped )
  • Onion - 250 Gm , Sliced
  • Green Chilli - 6-8 numbers Or More depending on Spice level
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp



Method: 

Heat oil in a shallow pan , add the onions and fry till they become translucent .


Add the cut chicken breast pieces , salt and fry till the chicken becomes white in colour .


Now add the Ginger garlic paste , green chilli , Turmeric powder and mix along .


Cook well till the raw smell goes away , and that chicken becomes tender and oil separates from the gravy .


Yummy Green chilli chicken is ready to serve .


    Serve hot with steamed rice , roti , parathas

    Note :

    The spice level could be increased by adding more green chilli

    Paneer Fried Rice Recipe - Step by Step Pictures

    My kids are crazy about paneer . I cook paneer at least once a week as Kadai paneer , Paneer Butter Masala or Mutter Paneer . Today's recipe is a rice made out of Cottage Cheese . I made this similar to Veg fried Rice . This is easy and a very simple recipe made under less than 30 minutes , if all the ingredients are ready . Off to the recipe .

    Ingredients:

    • Paneer -  250 Gm ,Cubed
    • Cooked Rice - 2 1/2 cups 
    • Oil - 1 tbsp
    • Garlic pods - 2 tbsp , Minced 
    • Spring Onion - 1 bunch , Finely Chopped 
    • Capsicum | Bell Peppers - 1 no , Diced 
    • Salt - To taste
    • Green Chilli Paste - 1 tbsp
    • Soy  sauce - 2 tsp
    • Ajinamotto - 1 tsp
    • Crushed Pepper Corns - 2 tsp ( As per Spice level , Could be increased or decreased )


      Method:

      Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan . Add the minced garlic and saute for few seconds .


      Now add the bell peppers and half of spring onions , salt , Ajinamotto , Crushed Pepper Corns and fry for few more seconds . Take care that the Veggies are not over done .


       Add the diced Paneer cubes and cooked till the paneer gets fried in oil .


      Add the cooked Rice , green chilli sauce , Soya sauce and salt if needed more and mix .


       Add the remaining spring onions and toss it along with the rice .


      Serve warm along with Gobi Manchurian


      The rice was really yummy blended well with Crunchy capsicum and soft Paneer cubes and nice flavor of spring onions.

      Lettuce Dal Fry | Romaine lettuce leaf Lentils Fry Recipe

      I usually buy lettuce to use it when i make sandwiches . We had some lettuce leaf left over at the refrigerator and I did not want to throw them out , so I thought of making this a combo with Lentils .  I made this similar to Spinach Dal Recipe .       Easy Dal fry recipe made with Lettuce
      Lettuce Dal Fry | romaine lettuce leaf  Lentils Curry Recipe


      Ingredients:

      • Toor dal - 1 cup
      • Tomatoes-1 no , chopped
      • Green chilli-2 nos
      •  Salt- to taste
      • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch

      Tempering:

      • Oil- 2 tsp
      • Mustard seeds  - 1/2 tsp
      • Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
      • Red chili - 2 no
      • Spinach -1/2 bunch chopped Or Frozen
      • Onion - 1 no , chopped 
      • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
      •  Romaine Leaf Lettuce -  As needed , Chopped


        Preparation:

        In a pressure cooker add the washed Toor dal, Turmeric Powder ,chopped tomatoes, slit green chilli, , water and pressure cook it for 10 mts till the dal is cooked well.Add salt and mix well .

          In a Kadai, heat oil add the mustard seeds allow it to pop ,add the  urad dal ,cumin seeds, chopped onions ,slit red chilli and  cook till onions become soft.Add the chopped lettuce leaves and stir for 2 minutes.


          Transfer this to the cooked dal , add water to desired consistency  and bring the contents to a boil .


          Serve hot with steamed rice  rice,and flat breads .
