Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar- 1 cup
  • Butter / Ghee / Vanaspathi - 1/4 cup ( I used Butter for this recipe )

Easy Sweet made with Maida / All purpose flour

Recipe:

In a shallow pan melt butter make it hot.

Fry the, all purpose flour / maida in the butter / vanaspathi in low flame.

Set aside.

To make the sugar syrup, Transfer the sugar to a shallow pan, add little water that the sugar will be immersed .

Bring it to boil till it reaches a string like consistency. If we touch the syrup between thumb and the index finger it should form  one string.

Now keep the stove in very low flame, add the fried All purpose flour

Start mixing that no lumps are formed and cook till they get little thick .

Turn of the stove. Keep on stirring(Fire less) till the mixture gets thickened and spread the mixture on a greased plate. Level the surface evenly and allow it to cool down. After it is cooled little, cut them in to small squares and allow it to be cooled completly.

Now transfer the cut pieces in to a air tight container and use.
