Green Beans stir fry / Beans Poriyal


Ingredients:

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Onion -1 no , Chopped
Grated coconut - 2 tsp(optional)
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Sambhar powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 /2 tsp
Turmeric Powder- a pinch
Green Beans - 250 gm , chopped
Procedure: 
In a kadai / Shallow pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds and allow it to pop , add urad dal, cumin seeds and then add onion.Cook till onion turns soft.

Add the chopped Green beans ,little water,  sambhar powder, Turmeric powder and salt.
 Cook till the vegetable turns soft and that all the water should be evaporated.
 If using coconut , add  grated coconut and stir.

Serve with  hot steamed rice and a curry.

  10. This green beans stir fry recipe is awesome! Thank you for sharing. I love spicy foods so I'll probably add more of turmeric powder in it, not just a pinch. :P
