Cornish Hen Curry / நாட்டு கோழி குழம்பு |
Ingredients:
- Cornish Chicken - 250 gms , cleaned and chopped ( The regular chicken could be used also )
- Onion - 1 no , chopped
- Turmeric powder -
- Salt - To taste
- Oil - 1 tbsp
Grinding:
- Tomato - 1 no , diced
- Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
- Yogurt - 2 tbsp
- Garlic pods - 4 pods
- Ginger - 1 tbsp , grated
- Green Chilli - 2 no
- Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Grind all the contents under the grinding heading by adding little water . Set aside .
To the cleaned chicken , add the turmeric powder . Set aside for an hour . This removes the raw smell from the chicken.
In a pressure cooker , heat oil . Add the onions and cook till they become translucent .
Add the chicken pieces and give a stir .
Now add the ground masala paste , salt , little water and bring the contents to a boil .
Cover with the lid and pressure cook for 2 hisses . Open the pressure cooker and serve .
Serve this quick chicken recipe with Idly , Dosa , Puri , Parotta , roti or even with steamed rice
