Eggless Dates Cake ( No Butter No Egg cake ) / பேரிச்சம்பழம் கேக் / Perichambalum cake |
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour / Maida - 1 cup
- Dates - 22no, deseeded
- Milk - 3/4 cup
- Granulated Sugar - 3/4 cup
- Oil - 1/2 cup
- Baking Soda - 1 tsp
Soak the dates with little milk till it becomes soft .
Transfer the contents to the mixer , and run it to a coarse paste .
Sieve the flour and Baking soda together .
In a mixing bowl , add the milk , sugar and oil and whisk . Whisk using a spatula .
Now add the ground dates and mix well .
Add in the flour little by little , making sure that the lumps are not formed .
Preheat the oven at 350 F for 10 minutes . Grease the baking pan with oil . Transfer the contents to the baking pan.
Bake for 45 minutes . Check by inserting a fork in the center of the cake , if it comes out clean the cake is ready.
Cool the cake completely in a wire rack . Slice it
The cake was super soft and moist .
