Ribbon Pakoda Recipe / Ribbon Pakora recipe / Seeval |
Ingredients:
Gram flour / Besan flour - 200 gms
Rice flour - 200 gms
Dalia / Roasted channa Dal - 100 gms
Salt - to taste
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Hot oil - 1 tbsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
Oil - for frying
Method:
Take the Dalia / roasted channa dal .
Grind them in to a powder in a mixer .
In a mixing bowl , add the rice flour , besan flour , ground dalia / roasted channa dal powder , salt , red chilli powder , sesame seeds and mix well .
Knead this in to a soft dough by adding little water .
Heat oil in a kadai for frying the pakodas . In a Ribbon Pakoda Mould , add some dough and press this in to hot oil in a circular motion .
Allow this to fry well .
Flip it to the other side and allow it to cook till the bubble stops .
Drain it on a paper towel . Allow this to cool and break it in to long strands .
Store it in an air tight container and use . It remains fresh for a long time for few weeks .
