KaraSev is a very popular dish in Tamil Nadu . My grand father used to buy this often when we visit his home . It is found in all the sweet shops in and around tamil Nadu .My mom thought me this recipe and i was surprised that this recipe turns out to be very simple with less ingredients .
KaraSev Recipe |
Besan flour / Gram Flour - 2 cups
Rice flour - 2 1/2 tsp
Ghee OR Oil - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Pepper Corns - 1 tsp
Oil - For Frying
Method:
In a mixing bowl , add the besan flour , rice flour , ghee or oil , salt , red chilli powder , pepper corns make a dough by sprinkling little water . The dough should not be too soft or too hard .
Heat oil in a frying pan . Grate the dough in to hot oil using the grater . The Grater can be replaced by using a Muruku Mold . I used the grater method for this recipe .
Fry till the bubbles around the dough stops .
Crispy karasev recipe is ready.
Serve this with hot Coffee .
