Muruku Recipe / Chakli Recipe

Ingredients:

Rice Flour - 3 cups
Whole Urad dhal - 1.5 cups
Salt - to taste
Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
Melted Butter - 1 tbsp
Oil - For frying

Method:

Fry the urad dhal in a kadai for few seconds . Grind it to a powder in a mixer .
In a mixing bowl , add the rice flour , urad dhal flour , melted butter , salt , and sprinkle little water and mix well .

Make it to a soft dough and knead well .

Heat oil in a kadai for frying . Add some dough in to the Muruku / Chakli mould and press it in a circular motion in to the hot oil .

Flip it to the other side and allow it to cook well .

Remove from the oil once the bubble settles down  around the muruku / Chakli .

Drain it on a paper towel to remove excess oil and serve .

Store in an airtight container for a longer use .

This is a perfect snack with a cup of tea .
