Ingredients:
- Moong dal ( Pasiparuppu ) - 1 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Onions-1 number , chopped
- Tomatoes-1 number , chopped
- Sambar powder - 2 teaspoon ( Click here to View the recipe )
- Hing - 1 pinch
- Salt- to taste
- Tamarind Juice - 1 /2 cup
To Temper :
- Oil-2 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds-1 teaspoon
- Urad dal-1 teaspoon
- Methi seeds-1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon
- Curry leaves-1 spring
- Red chilli-2 numbers, slit

Method :
In a pressure cooker, add the moong dal, ( PasiParuppu ) water,turmeric powder, hing,sambar powder,onions ,tomatoes and pressure cook the contents for 3 hisses . Once Cooked , Open the pressure Cooker and mash them well .
In a kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds allow it to pop , add the urad dal, methi seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies,curry leaves allow it to splutter. Now add the tamarind juice , salt and bring it to boil .
Transfer the cooked moong dal to the boiling contents and mix well.
Yummy Pasiparuppu Sambar is ready to serve .
This curry goes well with Ven pongal , Idly and Dosa and Steamed rice .
