GARLIC CURRY | POONDU KULAMBU RECIPE |

- Onion - 1 number , chopped
- Tomato - 1 number, chopped
- Tamarind juice extract - 1/2 cup
- Garlic pods - 15number , Sliced in to halves
- Sambar powder ( Curry Powder ) - 1 teaspoon ( Click here for the recipe )
- Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
- Sesame seeds oil - 2 teaspoon
- Methi seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste

Method :
In a Kadai, heat oil, add the mustard seeds and allow it to pop.Now add methi seeds and fry for few seconds .
Add onions and garlic pods and stir fry till raw smell goes from garlic and cook till the onions become soft .
Now add the tomatoes and cook till it is soft.Add the sambar powder,salt and turmeric powder and mix . ( If you don't have curry powder Red chilli powder and coriander
powder could be used in the ratio 1: 1 ie 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli
powder and 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder)
Add the tamarind juice and bring the Contents to boil.
Cook till the oil separates out of the Garlic curry ( Poondu Kulambu ) and the gravy becomes thick .
