- Raw Banana / Plantain - 1 no , chopped in to cubes
- Chopped Onion - 1 no, chopped
- Sambar powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal- 1 tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
Preparation:
Add the cubed plantain in water , so that it does not turn black colour .
In a kadai, heat oil add mustard seeds and urad dal and allow it to splutter
Now add onions and stir and cook till it becomes soft.
Add Chopped Plantain , turmeric, and sambar powder, salt and sprinkle little water and toss .
Cook till the plantain become soft .Allow it to become dry and roast it till it turns golden brown in color .
Serve hot with steamed rice and a curry of your choice .
Wow.......mouthwatering plantain stir fry. Nicely coated with spices....delicious.
