Onion Pakodas / Vengaya Pakoda / Onion Pakora / வெங்காய பகோடா

Onion Pakoda is an easy and a filling snack . It could be made in 15 minutes . Is is one of the quickest snack that could be made .
Onion Pakodas / Vengaya Pakoda / Onion Pakora  / வெங்காய பகோடா

Ingredients:

  • Onion – 2 no , ( shredded length wise )
  • Gram Flour ( Besan flour / Kadalai Mavu )  - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • asafoetida ( hing ) - 1/4 tsp
  • oil – to fry
  • Salt – to taste


Method:

In bowl mix the rice flour , besan flour , salt , chilli powder and hing.Add the shredded onions to it and mix well.


Sprinkle little water if required.  The mixture should be sticky and thick .

Heat oil , and drop the pakodas in oil and deep fry till they turn golden brown in color.


Serve hot .

  

This goes well as a perfect snack for the evening with a cup Tea .
