I had few soy chunks left over at my home . My daughters are crazy for cutlets . I combined the soya chunks with boiled potatoes and made this cutlet .
Method:
In a mixer add the boiled soy chunks , green chilli and salt , and run the mixer and mince the chunks .
Soya Potato Balls / Soya Potato Cutlet / Meal maker Aloo Cutlet |
Ingredients:
For the Coating :
- Soya Chunks ( Meal Maker ) - 15 no , Boiled and the water should be squeezed from the chunks .
- Potato - 4 no , Boiled and Mashed
- Onion - 1 no , Chopped
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Lime juice - 1 tsp
- Green Chilli - 1 no
- Oil - 2 tsp
For the Coating :
- All Purpose Flour - 2 tbsp
- Water
- Salt
- Bread Crumbs
- Oil
Method:
In a mixer add the boiled soy chunks , green chilli and salt , and run the mixer and mince the chunks .
In a kadai , add the oil and fry the ginger garlic paste . Add the onion and cook till it become soft . Now add the chilli powder , garam masala powder and salt and fry till the raw smell goes away .
Add the minced soya , lime juice and fry for few seconds .
Now add the boiled potatoes and fry for few minutes till the masala is well coated . Allow it to cool down
To make a coating for the balls , Take a bowl add the All purpose flour , salt and some water and make a thin paste . Drop the balls in the paste and coat it well .
Transfer this to the bread crumbs and coat it well with the bread crumbs .
Do not place the balls one above the other , It will stick to each other .

Heat the oil , Drop the balls and fry till golden brown in colour .
Drain on a paper towel .Serve hot .
Enjoy this with some ketchup and some hot Ginger Tea .
