Yam stir fry / Suran fry / senaikilangu varuval |
Ingredients:
- Yam / Suran / senaikilangu - 250 gms, chopped in to small cubes.
- Onion - 1 no , chopped
- Sambar powder OR Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad da l-1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
Preparation:
In a kadai, heat oil add mustard and urad dal and allow it to splutter . Now add onions and stir and cook till it becomes soft.
Add Chopped yam , sambar powder, salt and allow it to dry roast in oil.
Cook till they become golden brown in color.
Serve hot with rice and a curry of your choice .
