Kadai Paneer | Cottage Cheese Bell Peppers Gravy

My Kids Akshita and Nishita are in love with Paneer . I try to cook paneer in different forms and feed them . They like all the paner dishes like the ever famous Mutter Paneer and Paneer Butter Masala  . Paneer Korma and Paneer Paratha  was also loved by them . Another Version I cooked paner is this a Kadai Paneer recipe.

Kadai Paneer | Cottage Cheese Bell Peppers Gravy


Ingredients: 

  • Paneer - 400 gm ( cut in to small size cubes )
  • Capsicum / Bell peppers - 2 no , any color ( Diced )
  • Oil - 4 tsp
  • Hing - 1 pinch
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1 pinch 
  • cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Fenugreek leaf powder / Methi Leaves  - 1  tsp

To Grind:

  • Tomatoes - 3 no, Chopped
  • Ginger - 1' piece
  • Green chili - 2 no
Method:
 Blend the tomatoes, ginger, and green chili to make a paste in a mixer .


Heat the oil in frying pan and fry paneer for about 2 minutes.Take them out.


Next stir-fry capsicum until they are tender. Do not over cook the capsicum. Take them out and drain on a paper towel.


Using the same frying pan, pour some oil and add the hing and cumin seeds.


After the cumin seeds crack, add the ground puree , coriander powder, turmeric powder , and cayenne pepper powder .


Add some water to the gravy and bring it to boil , Now add the salt. Cook till the oil separates out from the gravy


Add paneer and capsicum and let it simmer for about five minutes on low medium heat.Mix Well . Add the fenugreek powder and mix


Now it is ready to serve.


This recipe goes well with Naan , also with parathas and flat breads .

Masala tea | Masala chai , Spiced Indian Chai Recipe

Masala tea Recipe , Masala chai Recipe
Masala tea / Masala chai

Ingredients:


  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Tea powder - 1 tsp , I used 3 tea bags
  • sugar - to taste ( optional )
  • Ginger - 1/4 ' piece (crushed)
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 stick , broken 
  • Star Ani seed - 1 no
  • Cardamom -2 no

Method:

Add the water ,milk , tea powder , crushed ginger , star Ani seed , cardamom , cinnamon stick , in a kettle or a vessel or a pot and bring it to a boil .





Filter it , add sugar if needed .                                                                                  


Serve Hot .


Enjoy this tea with some evening snacks .

Ginger Tea | Ginger Chai Recipe | Inji Tea , இஞ்சி டீ

Ginger is a medicinal root . Adding this to the tea gives a unique flavor . It helps to protect the body form cold and flu and also helps in digestion . With so much benefits of ginger so why not add this to the tea .

Ginger Tea / Ginger Chai / Inji Tea / இஞ்சி டீ

Ingredients:

  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Tea powder - 1 tsp
  • sugar - to taste
  • Ginger - 1 ' piece (crushed) 
Ginger Chai recipe


Method:

Add the water ,milk , tea powder , crushed ginger  in a kettle or a vessel or a pot and bring it to a boil .



Filter it , add sugar if needed .



Serve hot . Medicinal Ginger Tea, chai is ready to serve .


Enjoy this with some biscuits .

Chocolate Tea Recipe | Indian Chocolate Tea , Chai Recipe

I love tea and would love to have Tea  on  a Cold winter evening that makes me feel very refreshing . I have tasted chocolate tea in my visit to a Tea factory in Ooty .  Click here for the basic Indian Tea Recipe . It tasted so good  with the chocolate flavor so i tried to replicate the Tea that i tasted and made this chocolate Tea Recipe . So off to today's post chocolate Tea recipe .

Chocolate Tea Recipe | Indian Chocolate Tea , Chai Recipe



Ingredients:


  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Tea powder - 1 teaspoon 
  • sugar - to taste( optional )
  • Coco powder - 1/4 tea spoon


Method :

In a heavy bottom vessel add the milk , water and tea powder and mix and place it on the stove and switch on the stove .



Add the  Coco Powder .



Mix well and bring the contents to a boil .


After the color changes , filter the tea using a strainer .


Add sugar or sweetener if needed and mix .


Yummy Chocolate tea is Ready to serve .

Cardamom Chai , Elachi Tea , Cardamom Tea Recipe


Ingredients: 
  •  Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • sugar - to taste
  • cardamom - 2 nos, slit
  • Tea Powder - 1 tsp


Recipe: 

Add the water, milk, cardamon , Tea powder in a kettle or a boiling pan .


Bring the contents to a boil .

Filter using a strainer .


Add sugar if needed .Serve hot .


Enjoy this cup of tea with some Biscuits .

During my recent visit to munnar, ( Kerala , India ) I was impressed by the breath taking scenic views of tea estates which seems to carpet the city with lush greenery.Munnar is famous for its tea ,so i purchased a packet of tea powder .Here goes the recipe of Indian tea.



Ingredients:

  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Tea powder - 1 tsp
  • sugar - to taste( optional )
Indian Tea Recipe
Chai Latte / Indian Chai / Indian Tea



Recipe:

In a heavy bottom vessel add the milk , water and tea powder and mix .



Bring the contents to boil .


Boil in medium flame for few minutes .

Filter using the strainer .

Add sugar if needed . Yummy Indian Tea is ready to serve .


Serve hot. Enjoy with some biscuits .
