BADUSHA RECIPE | HOW TO MAKE BADUSHA RECIPE - STEP BY STEP PHOTOS

Badusha is a traditional south Indian sweet that is made usually during Occasions and festive seasons in India . My kids were craving for sweets couple of days back , so I decided to make this badusha for them . Badusha is a simple , easy and a quick recipe that could be made without any complications . So now off to today's post Badusha recipe .

Badusha Recipe - Ingredients

Preparation Time :30 minutes  | Cooking Time : 30 minutes
Recipe Category:

For the dough :
  • All Purpose Flour Or Maida - 1 & 1/2  cup
  • yogurt - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 2 tablespoon , room temperature
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking soda - 1 pinch
  • water - As needed
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
For the syrup:

  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup , for immersing sugar

For Frying :

  • Oil - As needed

    Method :


    • Take a wide mixing bowl , add the oil , butter , baking soda , sugar , yogurt and whisk .



    • Add the Madia and mix .  



    • Crumble the contents .


    • Add some water and knead them to a soft dough .



    • Cover the dough and set aside for 30 minutes .

    • Meanwhile take sugar and water in a heavy bottom pan . Bring them to a boil and till the sugar syrup reaches  one string consistency .  Switch off .



    • Make small balls from the dough .



    • Take the small balls and flatten them in our palm and make a dent in the middle .



    • Fry them in oil till they become golden brown color . Cook in medium heat , so that the badusha is cooked inside as well . 




    • Drop the fried Badusha in sugar syrup . Toss the Badusha in the sugar syrup and let them stay in the syrup for five minutes .


    • Transfer the Badusha to a Plate and allow them to dry .



    • Once all the Badusha is done , Pour the remaining left over sugar syrup Over them . Allow them to cool down completely . Add some sprinkles . 



    Allow them to cool down till the sugar crystallizes


    • Done !! Badusha is ready to serve .


    • My Kids enjoyed  those Badusha  .
