URULAI KIZHANGU PATTANI PORIYAL | POTATO PEAS FRY

Potato Peas Fry - Ingredients

Preparation Time :30 minutes  | Cooking Time : 15 minutes
Recipe Category: Sides  | Recipe Cuisine: South Indian

  • Boiled Potato - 3 number , diced
  • Peas - 1/2 cup , Pre-cooked
  • Onion - 1 number , chopped
  • Garlic Pods - 3 numbers , crushed
  • Oil - 2 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2  teaspoon
  • Urad dhal - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Hing - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste

Method :

  • Heat oil in a wok . Add the mustard seeds and allow them to pop . Now add the urad dhal and fry till they become brown in color . Add the crushed garlic and fry till raw smell goes away . Add the onion and cook till they become soft .


    • Add the turmeric powder , salt , Red chilli powder , Hing and mix well .


    • Add the Boiled Potato and Mix .


    • Fry them well that the potatoes are well coated with the spice powders . Now add in the Boiled peas and Mix them well .


    • Done ! Urulai Kilangu Pattani Poriyal or Potato Peas Fry is ready to be served .
