My Kids Love the Chick peas , So I try to cook this Garbanzo bean often . Today's post Chick pea curry is a very simple gravy made with coconut . This curry goes well with Rice , Rotis , Parathas , Idly , Dosa . Off to the recipe now .
Method:
Soak the Chickpeas over night . A ready-made can from the grocery store can be used as well .
Grind together coconut , tomato , green chilli and set aside .
Heat oil in a pressure cooker , add the onions and cook till they become translucent .
Now add the soaked chickpea and tomatoes and cook till the tomato turns soft .
Add the Chilli Powder , turmeric powder and stir .

To Grind:
- Chickpea / Garbanzo Bean - 1/2 Cup ( Canned Bean Could also be used)
- Onion - 1 no , chopped
- Tomato - 1 no , chopped
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Chilli powder - 2 tsp ( Sambar Powder Could be used too )
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - To taste
To Grind:
- Tomato - 1 no , chopped
- Green Chilli - 2 no
- Coconut - 1/2 cup , grated
Method:

Now add the soaked chickpea and tomatoes and cook till the tomato turns soft .
Add the Chilli Powder , turmeric powder and stir .
Add the ground contents to the pressure cooker .
Add some water , salt and cover it with the lid and pressure cook for 2 hisses . Now the chickpea curry is ready .
Serve hot .
